Wow - how time flies! It's seems like it was just yesterday when we got word of our first festival acceptance. It's actually been a year since that day, and and as we head towards our 20th festival coming on tap we chuckle at the angst we felt. For a long time it felt like we were never going to get into any film festival. A year later and we are in the enviable position of turning festivals down.
So what's on tap for Wiener? Well we're pleased to announce that we are (finally) going to start selling DVDs on the site (as evidenced by the new link to the left). We're also setting up screenings across the country, with at least 5 venues close to being finalized. We just had a screening in San Diego that raised over $3500 for a charity this past weekend, so that bodes well for the other screenings!
We've been invited to the Hot Springs Documentary Festival, the Tacoma Film Festival, and the Temecula Valley International Film Festival, and we'll be featuring two shows at the Berea Oktoberfest. These will probably be the final few festivals we do - we're getting pretty "fested out." That said, we are still talking with a few more festivals, and might go to a few areas of the country where we haven't visited.
